ARTIST POINT ROAD STATUS
The Mt. Baker Highway is maintained and plowed by the Washington State Department of Transportation. The opening of the portion of road that goes beyond the ski area to Artist Point is dependent on the winter snowpack and summer weather conditions. It is typically opened sometime in July, and remains open until snowfall begins accumulating in the fall - usually in late September to October.
